Rise up my love, my fair one, and come away…the time of singing has come….” (Song of Songs 2:10-12)

Weddings are joyous and memorable occasions, surely counting as one of the most important days in a person’s life. It is said that getting married is not the same as being married. Getting married lasts a single day—a glorious day, to be sure, but immediately after the glass is smashed comes being married, which, we all hope, lasts a lifetime. A wedding should embody the marriage they hope to have and so that every single guest present becomes a part of that couple’s community of love and blessing as they begin their married life together.
