Commitment FAQ’s

Welcome to Congregation Beth Hatikvah!

Our synagogue is more than a new building, school, or set of programs, it is its membership.  We welcome all members of the Jewish community into our synagogue family. Join us for Shabbat or an event that interests you!

For more information call us at (360) 627-8474 or contact us by email.

How often are services held?

As a small synagogue, our service schedule varies. We hold a full schedule of High Holy Day services, and observe most of the Jewish holidays through the year as well. Friday evening (Kabbalat) services are typically held twice each month, and Saturday morning Torah services are usually held once each month.  Please check our calendar for specific service dates and times.

How many supporters does CBH have?

We currently have about 45 committed households.

What do I get for my commitment dues?

On top of the regular benefits of commitment like High Holy Day tickets, access to Religious School, and reduced prices to events and classes, our congregational family and rabbinical services are there to support you through life’s challenges and joys. You will also be supporting our synagogue and the great programs we offer and keeping the Jewish presence growing in Kitsap County. Our supporters find they get back much more than they pay for.

Visit our Benefits page for more information.

How do I join CBH as a supporter?

You can fill out our online commitment form or you can download the PDF version and mail it to us.

What if I can’t afford commitment dues?

No one will be turned away due to inability to pay.  CBH offers reduced rates, as well as endowment funds to those in need. Please complete and mail us a Request For Reduced Commitment Form.

What kind of commitments are available?

We have standard commitment levels which are designed to fit the level of support you feel the most comfortable with.

A “Dual Supporter” commitment is available to those who are affiliated with another congregation but would like to also call Congregation Beth Hatikvah their home!

We also have supporter tiers for single-member households, students and young professionals, and those in need of assistance.
